There are several different editions of PSAK-47, but MOEkov is one of the most popular. This edition features Magpul MOE handguards and a Magpul Zhukov convertible.
In the past, we have had some problems with poor anodizing processes or mechanical marks from PSA. We were very happy to find that the result is consistent in all parts and there are no mechanical marks to be seen.
Some other important details to note: The barrel is 16.2" long with a 1:9.5 three and six-groove rifling. It is crafted from 4150 steel and treated Melonite, with a classic slanted butt.

PSA used a mil-spec double-hook trigger in the PSAK-47 that works surprisingly well. We don't really like the mil-spec competitors, and certainly talk about improving them a bit, but we have to tip our hat to PSA for making it a reasonable price. .
The pull weight is 4 lbs, 5 oz, so it compares very well to AKs made by foreigners. The reviewers noticed that the base did not set well in the first shots, but the problem disappeared as they continued to break the gun.
We were also a little disappointed - but not surprised - to find the "auto" setting on the safety was another setting of semi-auto. PSA is going for good points there, and we can't really blame them. It is very beautiful.
Sighting of the PSAK-47 with scope can be a bit touchy, although the buck weld is not good enough to prevent traditional parallax. You get it on paper, but this gun plays better with a red dot or scopes, while it's best at close range.

According to our review, it comes in at somewhere between 2 and 4 MOA, and it's well within mil-specs. And the truth is, it's not even a straight gun. Very good at keeping bad guys at bay, and that - you don't even have to point.
Rebound can be a little less, but the PSAK-47 supplied by Magpul is lighter than the traditional stock version, so it's easier to handle.
It doesn't mess with trash, but the polymer Zhukov stock and low iron sights will make you feel like you're hitting every shot.
Changing the motor for the compensation helped a lot, but so did mounting an optic that was higher in the hole than the irons.

Therefore, AK-47s are very reliable. They can be printed and they don't need a lot of patience to work well. That said, the PSAK-47 has undergone some serious stress testing, but it's no easy task.
As we mentioned above, there were some issues with the reset, but the gun performed well every time we pulled the trigger.
Other reviewers have had no problems, and the PSAK-47 has successfully fed a variety of ammo, dust and dirt, and it continues to shoot.
The PSAK-47 comes with a 30-round Magpul magazine, but does not choose to accept other magazines, including Pro-Mag and foreign-made mil-spec magazines. If you have some AK magazines you should be good to go.

We like our red dots all around, and we can vouch for the Aimpoint PRO, but if you don't have $400 to throw around, we also recommend the Holosun HS403C.

One disappointing thing about AC is that they don't have a good way to mount an optic - but side mounts are much easier.
A very simple option is the Midwest Industries AK Railed Scope Mount. It adds a short piece of Picatinny rail to the top of your AK, perfect for attaching an optic or other accessories.
